For many travelers food is a very important part of vacation. For some Disney World travelers they plan their entire trip around the dining they want to experience. When you think of a theme park vacation you might imagine burgers, hot dogs, and fries. At Disney World while those foods will always be available, there are so many more options. If food is important to you, or if you just want to be able to have dinner at a table service restaurant during your stay then make sure you are informed before you travel.
I have put together this guide for Hollywood Studios to help you see what your options are and determine where you want to eat while at the park.

The Basics
If you are new to dining at Disney World or need a refresher check out my post about the basics of dining at Disney World.
The Basics of Dining at Disney World
If you have special dietary needs check out this post.
Allergies and Special Dietary Needs at Disney Parks
There are three basic kinds of dining locations in Hollywood Studios.
- Table Service Restaurants – These are sit down restaurants where you are served by a waiter or waitress.
- Quick Service Restaurants – These are counter style dining locations where you order and pick-up your food from a main counter.
- Stands – These are carts, kiosks, and counter windows that serve limited menus and do not have specific seating associated with them.
Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR)
Dining reservations can be made at all table service locations. Reservations in advance are HIGHLY recommended if you want to eat at any of these locations.
ADRs can be made up to 60 days in advance. If you are staying on property you can make ADRs for your entire trip 60 days from the first day of your visit. Reservations can be made online starting at 6:00am EST though the my Disney Experience App or website. They can be made over the phone at 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00am EST.
For the best availability make sure to make reservations as soon as possible.
Table Service Restaurants
To find all the menu’s listed visit Disney World’s website at:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/
** All table service restaurants take reservations and reservations are highly recommended. **
Alcohol is served at all table services restaurants in Hollywood Studios.
** Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant ** (Personal Favorite)
– Located on Commissary Lane
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– The theming of this location is a 50’s drive-in and most seating is in “cars”. Playing while you eat is a continuous loop of clips from old sci-fi B-movies from the 50’s, it is a very fun atmosphere. Not a good location to be able to talk to your party but a great one to enjoy a dark and calmer meal. The food here is what you would expect at a drive-in with burgers, sandwiches, and salads mostly. Make sure you save room for one of their fantastic milk shakes.

50’s Prime Time Cafe
– Located on Echo Lake
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– Imagine you are having dinner at a mix between a 50’s dinner and a home kitchen in the 50’s with wait staff straight out of the movies ready to give you a hard time about everything, of course all in good fun. If you want a lot of fun interaction with your server this is the place to go. If that is not a fit for your group I would skip eating here. The menu is full of at home classics like fried chicken, meatloaf and pot roast.
Hollywood & Vine
– Located on Echo Lake
– Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American Buffet
– Character Meal
– Breakfast with Disney Junior Play n’ Dine – Vampirina, Sophia the First, Doc McStuffins, Jake from Jake the Neverland Pirates
– Minnie’s Seasonal Dining – Minnie hosts special dining here seasonally where you can meet Minnie and her friends in seasonal attire.
– The theming here is old Hollywood but nothing exciting. The buffet for breakfast is your standard Disney breakfast fare complete with Mickey waffles. The buffet for lunch and dinner is a standard American buffet and nothing too exciting. This is the only buffet and only character dining in Hollywood Studios. If you have little ones that love the Disney Junior crowd I would suggest the character breakfast as it is the perfect way to meet these characters without lines. The seasonal dining can also be really fun to celebrate holidays and is great for character meal fans. I would skip for a lunch or dinner non-character meal.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
– Located on Grand Avenue
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American & Italian
– With a standard Italian restaurant menu the theming matches. This location is a solid pick for a meal at Hollywood Studios. If you want somewhere to just have a solid sit down meals with no characters or elaborate theme happening around you, plus it’s not at a signature or buffet price this is a good choice.
The Hollywood Brown Derby
– Located on Hollywood Boulevard
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– This is the only signature dining in Hollywood Studios and has its own lounge as well. Feel like you are dining at the heart of the golden age of Hollywood. Complete with those classic caricatures lining the walls. This restaurant is a mimic to the original Brown Derby in Hollywood, CA which is credited with creating the chef salad and grapefruit cake so both of those can be found on the menu here. A great option for adult only groups.

Quick Service Restaurants

All of the counter service at Hollywood Studios serve alcohol.
Woody’s Lunchbox
- Located in Toy Story Land
- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
- Food Style: American
- Mobile Order Available
- Outdoor Seating
With adorable theming that has you sitting on benches that look like baby bell cheese this location is Toy Story Land is a popular one and the outdoor seating is limited to keep that in mind. The menu here is short and heavy on sandwiches and tater tot items. They have a few plant based versions of their normal items which is a really nice option, though beware the plant based grilled cheese is a bit lacking. Don’t miss the lunch box tarts, basically a fancy pop tart, they change seasonly too which is always fun.

ABC Commissary
– Located on Commissary Lane
– Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– Mobile Order Available
** Reservations For Dinner**
– Indoor Seating
– If you want to feel like you are dining in the ABC Studios cafeteria this is the place to go. The menu has a wide variety and some of the most substantial items in Hollywood Studios for a quick service location.
Backlot Express
– Located in Echo Lake
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– Mobile Order Available
– Indoor / Outdoor Seating
– Lots of seating is available here with a menu of basic theme park fare. This is a great location if you are looking for a burger. Located near Star Tours there is even some Star Wars flare on the menu. The large amount of open air seating makes this a comfortable place to eat.
PizzeRizzo
– Located in Grand Avenue
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: Italian
– Mobile Order Available
– Indoor Seating
– Themed to the Muppets and Rizzo the Rat this location serves Pizza with a few other options. If your kids want pizza this is the place to go. If you love the Muppets you want to to at least step in and check out the decor. Beyond that I wouldn’t recommend this location.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
– Located in Galaxy’s Edge
– Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American with a Star Wars Flare
– Mobile Order Available
– Indoor Seating & Outdoor Seating
– Deep theming here of a cargo bay in the Star Wars universe this is the only real restaurant in Galaxies Edge. The menu is exciting with options that are different from what you will find around the rest of the park. The food is great for the price point and quick service style. My got to here is the plant based Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread. A must visit for Star Wars fans. When Ronto Roasters stand is closed you can them here.

Catalina Eddie’s
– Located in Sunset Boulevard
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– Mobile Order Available
– Outdoor Seating
– This location is all outside and the menu is very basic with pizza and . If you are looking for a quick bit to eat between rides and it’s not too hot outside this will do.
Fairfax Fare
– Located in Sunset Boulevard
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American & Mexican
– Mobile Order Available
– Outdoor Seating
– This location is all outside, the food is more exciting than it’s neighboring counter service locations with rice bowls, empanadas, and fajita’s. The only location in Hollywood Studios for Mexican food.
Rosie’s All American Cafe
– Located in Sunset Boulevard
– Lunch & Dinner
– Food Style: American
– Mobile Order Available
– Outdoor Seating
– This location is all outside and the food is standard park fare of burgers, hot dogs and nuggets. However, the fried green tomato sandwich is worth a try. An easy stop for a quick meal.

Stands
To find the menu’s listed visit Disney World’s website at:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/
On top of the restaurants the are many many carts and kiosks and windows the serve snacks, desserts, and some even small meals. Be sure you try out at least one or two snacks during your visit. Many of these locations also serve alcohol.
Hollywood Boulevard:
The Trolley Car Cafe – Starbucks and bakery options, home to the Hollywood Studios favorite Carrot Cake Cookie.
Echo Lake:
Dockside Diner – Stop here for chili dogs and nachos.
Epic Eats – A treat stop, check out the funnel cake options here.
Pixar Place:
Market – Pick up the Disney World classics of Mickey Pretzels and churros.
Neighborhood Bakery – Themed to The Incredibles this is a must stop for the huge, Num Num Cookie.
Sunset Boulevard:
Anaheim Produce – A great stop for some healthy snacks.
Hollywood Scoops – Hand scooped ice cream, check out the cookie sandwiches.
KRNR The Rock Station – Hot dogs and mac & cheese.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge:
Kat Saka’s Kettle – Out of this world popcorn.
Milk Stand – Find your Star Wars iconic Blue Milk and Green Milk here. Both milks are plant based and have different fruity flavors. The consistency is somewhere between milk and a smoothy, almost a slushy feel. You also have the option to add alcohol to either.
Ronto Roasters – Home of the Ronto Wrap, a sausage wrap. Check out the Star Wars themed beverages as well.

Bars & Lounges
There are several bars throughout the parks if you want to enjoy a beverage and take a seat in the lounge.
Tune-In Lounge:
– Located in Echo Lake
– Indoor lounge
– Enjoy some 50’s TV in this retro themed lounge.
– Speciality cocktails, beer, and wine
BaseLine Tap House:
– Located on Grand Avenue
– Snacks like a charcuterie plate and soft pretzels.
– Lots of California beers on tap
– Wine’s and spirits as well
– Outdoor seating
The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge:
– Located on Hollywood Boulevard
– Outdoor seating
– Lots of cocktails and wines
Oga’s Cantina
– Located in Galaxy’s Edge
– Reservations Required
– Theming here is amazing and a must visit for Star Wars fans. Be ready to stand though most of the tables are bar tops. The menu is speciality Star Wars themed cocktails with commemorative mugs optional. Be aware all the pricing is with the mugs but you can opt to get it without and they will still serve it to you in the mug you just won’t get to keep it. Many non-alcoholic options available was well. There are a few snacks here but don’t plan a meal here. The atmosphere here is tons of fun with a droid DJ and so much to look at. There are some fantastic cast members here as well that are very into the theming.

Best Breakfast Spots
If you are at the parks early and looking to have breakfast there are not as many options for you to have for lunch and dinner. Your best bets for something fast are the Trolley Car Cafe, Woody’s Lunch Box, and Anaheim Produce. If you want table service your best bet is Hollywood & Vine. For counter service Docking Bay 7 and ABC Commissary
Echo Park
- Hollywood & Vine
Hollywood Boulevard
- Trolley Car Cafe
Sunset Boulevard
- Anaheim Produce
Commissary Lane
- ABC Commissary
Galaxies Edge
- Ronto Roasters
- Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo
Toy Story Land

Dining Packages
How They Work: You book a dining package reservation. For a set price you enjoy your meal at the restaurant you have chosen then you received a voucher for your show experience later in the day. At the show you will skip the normal line and get priority guaranteed seating. Note: Don’t confuse a dinging package with the Disney Dining Plan.
Hollywood Studios offers one dining package.
* Fantasmic Dining Package
- Restaurant Options:
- The Hollywood Brown Derby
- Hollywood & Vine
- Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano

Hollywood Studios Dessert Parties
How Dessert Parties Work: You book a reservation and for one price you enjoy unlimited desserts and drinks, including alcohol at a reception area prior to the show. During the show you then have a special viewing area.
Those with allergies, note this with your reservation and again when you arrive with a server. They will get you a special allergy plate of treats.
Fantasmic Dessert Party
Upon arrival you get a commemorative flashing lanyard. Enjoy VIP seating for Fantasmic and a box of specially themed desserts, plus a special drink in commemorative cups. This party is significantly less expensive than the other two in Hollywood Studios or in other parks. Note that this one is not all you care to enjoy buffet but a specific box of sweets. But you are getting VIP seating for Fantasmic which I would say is “worth more” than special viewing for the other two parties here.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party
Start in Star Wars Launch Bay and explore the props and exhibits. Then enjoy the dessert buffet themed to Star Wars and drinks. The buffets also features some light savory snacks as well. After which you will watch Wonderful World of Animation and the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular projection shows in an exclusive viewing area. You will also go home with a Star Wars stein.
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday Dessert Party
A seasonal offering. Enjoy the dessert buffet themed to the holidays and drinks. After which you will watch the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! show in an exclusive viewing area.

Now that you know everything you need to and more about dining at Hollywood Studios you are ready to plan your visit there.
